Job description

Location: Amsterdam hybrid or remote (NL) · Team: Engineering

About Wundermart

Wundermart launched in 2016 with a bold idea: smart, unmanned lobby shops for hotels. Today, we’ve grown into a full-fledged, AI-powered F&B platform active in 9 countries, scaling at over 40% annually. From our HQ in Amsterdam, we’re building the future of hotel retail. Innovating, iterating, and rolling out new concepts that reshape the market.

The company

What started as a clever retail concept has become a scalable platform that helps hotels boost their F&B revenue, without adding operational load. We offer fully managed unmanned shops, smart breakfast modules, 24/7 beer taps, and more. Our tech, data, and supply chain take care of everything behind the scenes. The hotel provides the space, we handle the rest.

Our culture is entrepreneurial, people-first, and outcome-driven. We value ownership, curiosity, and unconventional thinking. Our core values:

Take control · Stay open-minded · Be daring

About the role

We're looking for a full‑stack developer to join our team working on the systems that power hundreds of autonomous Wundermart stores across Europe. You’ll primarily work on our Point of Sale and Wundersuite (our portal for store owners), helping build fast, reliable tools for real-world retail.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and maintaining full‑stack features using Vue.js, React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript

  • Collaborating closely with backend engineers, designers and product managers

  • Writing clean, testable code and helping shape how we scale our tools and infrastructure

  • Occasionally diving into Python/Django code to tweak APIs or understand system behaviour

Why Wundermart

  • Direct impact on a fast-growing, real-world product

  • A smart, collaborative team with a bias toward action

  • Flexible setup: remote or hybrid, full-time or freelance

  • Based in Amsterdam but operating all over Europe

Job requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue and/or React, and Node.js

  • Comfortable shipping production code and working across the stack

  • Bonus: can read or contribute to Python/Django services

  • Curiosity, pragmatism, and a willingness to take ownership of problems

The Wundermart story.

Wundermart is the platform solution that enables profitable F&B moments at scale.

We have transformed the way guests buy and enjoy convenience items in hotels by putting our autonomous shops in the lobby of over 200 hotels in 6 countries.

The Wundermart ecosystem was created with two things in mind. The use of data and technology to make products available at all times, and an infrastructure that unburdens our hotel partners in every sense of the word. Our technology supports everything from pricing to payment, the supply chain infrastructure is set up to autonomously look after ordering and replenishment.

Scalable, smart and successful F&B in the hospitality channel. This is who we are.

‘Wunder’ is the term that captures our mentality.

The ability to see new possibilities. The drive to make something happen that makes a difference and evokes a sense of wonder. Asking questions is the starting point of progress. Asking better questions unlocks real innovation. We never settle with the status quo – we’re challenging it. Our rocket fuel is seeing new opportunities to create better solutions for existing problems.
